Long Waited... Bye Bye, Mummy!

Cayenne finally settles in the CC. No longer cries since last week! She even initiated to walk to the CC, I don't have to carry her. Hooray! Cayenne took 4 months. Finally. It was tough for her and me. Guess more tough for her as she has been with me (ALWAYS) but since December 2010, she has to go to CC and full day. Whenever I think of it, my heart still aches... Tough for me as in I gotta to carry her all the way to CC while pushing Cayden in the pram. When I told my friends, all asked me how could that be?! How did I do it?! It can be done. When you are in my shoes, you sure can do it as well...

Always says don't like School, Teachers, Friends... Every morning and night sure asks me if it is holiday. Cos I tell her Monday till Friday are SCHOOL DAYS. As long as Ah Yi, Daddy works, means that it is a School Day. Saturday and Sunday are holidays. So my little Cayenne is hoping every day is a holiday. Haha... I can see her disappointed expression when I tell her that for example today is not a holiday. Have to go to School.

Initial months were tough for me as I was undergoing some stressful moments... Not easy... At times I wanted to give up. Instead of her crying, being angry and cranky, I rather my girl to be happy cheerful girl. But then I know I could not give up halfway... Sigh...

So finally. Bye Bye, Mummy! This is what Cayenne tells me every morning when she goes into the classroom. ;)

Happy that she is happy and cheerful now. Me? Definitely happy! As long as my Cayenne is happy! ;)

Jann brought Cayenne to her friend's children's BD party. I was most glad to let Cayenne follow Jann! Haha... So that at least I need to "tackle" Terror Small C only. ;p

We had McDonalds breakfast before Jann & Cayenne went off in cab. Initially we were worried that Cayenne might look for me during the party. But we still decided to give it a try since it was only a two hour party.

Pictures shown could tell that Cayenne didn't miss her Mummy at all! Haha... Jann told me that she didn't want to go home, still want to go "gai gai". Haha...

2nd Afternoon in CC...

Cayenne napped in CC on her 2nd afternoon yesterday! ;)

I reached the CC at about 3pm. The kids were still napping. So I waited and about 10 minutes or so, I heard some noises, the kids were awake. Hee... No crying... (I was trying to hear if Cayenne cried anot. Lucky no!)

I called the CC and spoke to Miss Christy. She told me Cayenne napped from 1.30pm to 3pm! Well done, Cayenne! Needed to be patted though, Cayenne even requested Miss Christy to lie down beside her on her tiny little mattress. Haha... Well, this is what I and my Darling normally do when napping times. ;p

I asked if she made any noise or cry, Miss Christy said no, so I told her that I would wait for Cayenne to finish her tea break with her friends then. I popped over to my new house to take a look and went back to the CC at 4pm.

Guess what, I heard some Christmas songs and kids' voices. I took a peep. Saw a batch of kids dancing to the song with Miss Christy guiding them the actions. So cute. This batch of kids looked younger as compared to the earlier batch I saw days ago. So in my heart, I was thinking could they be... Cayenne's class?! I tried to search for my Darling... There she was! Dancing away, happily to the song! So so cute! I was really HAPPY and EXCITED!!! Cayenne seemed to have a great time! Decided to wait outside, as I didn't want to interupt her good time with the teacher and friends.

About 4.15pm, the song stopped and I stood outside the window. Cayenne suddenly saw me! And she told Miss Christy excitedly, pointing to the window. Haha...

I went into the CC and Miss Chow (Teacher Mummy) brought her to me. Miss Chow asked me "Does Cayenne likes to dance alot?" I said "YES!!!" Miss Chow said "No wonder." Haha... Cayenne always likes to dance with my Dad and Cayden.

After saying goodbye to Miss Chow, I brought her to library again before heading home.

Am very happy that Cayenne can nap in the CC without much effort. Initially I thought might take quite a while again to settle. Am also happy that Cayenne enjoys dancing and playing in CC... Though she still says "I don't want to go to School" EVERY MORNING and NIGHT TIME. Haha...

Did she or not?

Did my Cayenne nap this afternoon? Well, she didn't! But heard from her English Teacher Miss Christy, Cayenne initially cried for Mummy.... Hmm... Not me. *Sad* She cried for her Teacher Mummy (Miss Chow). Haha... So should I be happy or sad? ... ... ...

Anyway, she didn't nap, just lied on the mattress. She wanted to walk around, but Miss Christy told her that if she walked around, she would disturb other friends napping. Then Cayenne went to lie on her mattress... She started to sing! Haha... Miss Christy told her that if her friends woke up, she would have to help to pat every friend to sleep. Cayenne immediately sang softly on her mattress. Haha...

I went over around 2.45pm and the CC was quiet. So I waited outside for my little girl. Initially I thought "Wow! My girl can actually nap outside without me!" Ha... Who knows! Nevermind, tomorrow will be better. Let's try again tomorrow! ;)

Brought her to library, bought some art and craft stuff for her and treated her to her favourite McDonalds! Hee...

My girl is doing good in CC. Surely she deserves the little treat right? ;)

1st time...

Cayenne is going to nap in CC today... *Heartpain*

I feel useless that I get heartpain so easily. I'm an emotional person. Alittle bit will trigger my emotions. Sigh...

Hope my little princess can adapt.

Monday Blues...

Not me, it's my Darling Cayenne & some of her friends in CC. I went back to take a peep @ her after dropping by my new home. Heard a few cries. Heartpain... Walked nearer to the window and saw some kids crying and my Darling crying softly. My heart sank. At that moment, I felt like GIVING UP... But I know I can't. Sooner or later, she has to face the same situation so might as well start now since she is already in CC almost 2 weeks. Not too bad for my Darling.

Cayenne asked Miss Christy and other teachers "Where's Mummy outside?" on and off. Mummy outside means ME. I always tell her that Mummy cannot go into the classroom, will have to wait outside etc... But Miss Christy told me that kids are sensitive, they know if their parents are outside anot... I think quite true cos I ALWAYS walk back to CC (2nd time) after going to my new house. So maybe Cayenne did catch me walking past a few times.

Think I have to stop this 2nd time peeping. Does I sound like a peeping tom? Hee...

Darling Cayenne, so far you have done quite well in CC. Keep it up, Darling!

Updates on Cayenne

Cayenne didn't want to wear her uniform on Monday and Tuesday and cried all the way to CC. Sigh... Each time she cries, my heart aches.

Wednesday onwards till today, not too bad. Managed to wear her uniform but still reluctant to go to School. Sometimes I see her cries, I feel like giving up... Feel like withdrawing her from CC. But I must persist till the end.. I remember most friends told me that it is just a matter of time that Cayenne will like School. Their kids behaved the same initially. After that, they LOVE School! So despite my heartaches, I send her to CC each day...

Been attending half day CC since 1st December till now. Jane told me that it is inevitable that Cayenne may have nightmares, refusal to eat/drink. So far, Cayenne's appetite is good and starts to increase. ;) Nightmares, hmm... Sometimes in her afternoon naps and in the nights... Hope she can settle well in School.

Probably next week will let her nap in CC. Will discuss with her teachers again about her progress. If Cayenne really naps in CC, I going to miss my little girl even more...

Darling Cayenne is going to School tomorrow!

Brought out the bag that I long ago bought for Cayenne. She got so excited about the bag. We have been telling her that she is going to School. Sometimes she says she doesn't want to go to school, sometimes she will say "Mummy follows Baby go School", sometimes she says she want to go school. Ha...

Cayenne is going to Childcare Centre tomorrow 1st December 2010, Wednesday!

I do feel excited BUT then I don't know why I feel more "loss" & 不舍得 so strongly since last week... Early November when I brought her to do the registration, I felt more excited about her going to School. But now I feel the other way... I wish I can keep my little Baby with me all the times. But of cos I know it is impossible...

Despite my current feelings now, I try not to show out to her. I want her to enjoy School as much as possible, so positive comments and feelings on going to School are very important.

Baby (This is what we call her), hope you enjoy School & can adapt well...

Sigh... 好不舍得! Oops! ;p

Fast!

So fast that Cayenne will be attending the CC next month! Don't get puzzled that how come she attend CC in DECEMBER 2010 instead of JANUARY 2011. Hee... The principal told me it is the CC's way of practice - let the kids get used to the environment, the teachers and the little friends. So Decemeber is more for mingling, playing and most importantly, adapting to the new place. Well, I think it is a great idea as this kind of practice will more or less help to settle the kids.

Look pretty forward that Cayenne can attend CC, whether CC or other playgroups or nursery, Dennis's and my mindset are to let Cayenne have fun and mingle with her little friends. Be independent, sociable etc. & of cos can minimize the "CLINGY-NESS" from me. ;p

While she is at the CC, I can have more time with my Cayden boy. Haven't been taking good care of my boy myself. I always feel so guilty. So hopefully I can make it up for my Cayden boy.

Though I mention that I look pretty forward, I do have moments of "不舍得". I wonder if any mummies feel that way...
