Updates on Double Cs

Lately due to the unpredictable weather, my Cs finally collapsed. Heard that many little kids have fallen due to the weather but my Cs could still withstand the virus or sickness for quite some time. It was quite some time before they fell sick this time.

After seeing GP and taking 1 week medicine, my Cs still no signs of recovering.. In fact Cayenne got worse! High fever on 07th September 2011 after my Dad's BD dinner till 08th September. Brought her to TCM. I always want to try TCM cos ultimately IMO, chinese medicine is more suitable. Last time I used to feed western medicine till I scare... So many medicine.

This time I can see the improvement after taking a few days of chinese medicine! Very relieved. Am glad to make the switch. My Cs have recovered quite well so far and I am hoping that with chinese medicine or herbs, can help to build my Cs' bodies to be stronger & healthy! ;)

Double Cs' Updates

Haven't been faithfully updating the Chuas' Blog. Everyday is a rushing day for me. Endless chores to do. By the time I finish the day's work, I'm already dead tired... I rather watch TV... Than to strain my eyes on my lappy. Hee... ;p

Big C is more and more sensible though she got her moods too. A sweet darling to take care, hold Cayden's hand while walking though Cayden often rejects his sister's kind intentions. Haha... Got 1 incident that Cayenne was holding Cayden's hand while walking that she fell down and got her knee scratched... Heartpained... ;p

Though Cayden bullies, beats his sister, Cayenne still dotes and loves her brother. I jokingly tell Cayden to stay in the car while we go shopping or let "mo mo" a.k.a monster catches Cayden, Cayenne immediately says "NO! CANNOT!" "Cannot let didi sit in the car alone" "Cannot let "mo mo" catch didi" etc... Haha... So sweet... But this Cayden doesn't appreciate his sister. (Still too young)

Cayden is talking and learning very fast! He speaks sentences quite fast. There was one incident that Dennis was patting him sleep. Well, the Chuas were together that particular night in the kids' room. Suddenly, Cayden said "Don't want Daddy pat. Mummy pat." I burst out laughing!

He loves to make me "angry". Knows very well that I dislike him doing certain things yet he PURPOSELY does them. Argh...

Updates on my Double Cs' development

Darling Cayenne is finally potty trained!

Started her on pee-ing in the potty last Wednesday. Only one accident, after that, "smooth smooth" all the way till now! Wanted to start her poo-ing business in potty at the same time, but apparently she was not ready last week. She kept saying "No, No"

I try not to stress her and myself as I know that stressing only makes things worse.

Last Friday brought Double Cs to playground, saw Lily. Told her about the potty training. Lily told me to let her poo in her pants/shorts/panties. Then explained to Cayenne after that. I was like "Huh... So disgusting" But come to think of it, probably I have try this method.

So, happened that today she told me that she wanted to do big business, I encouraged her to use potty, she didn't want. She threw temper, "scold", shouted at me. I KEPT MY COOL. ;p Still trying my luck to encourage her, told her that she would dirty her favourite purple PJ pants, Mummy would have to throw the pants away etc. She still didn't buy my "stories".

I told myself that cannot give up, cos i used to start potty train her few times before, whenever she said "No", "Don't want", I would let her be... Kept encouraging her and talking to her patiently. Then one tiny poo dropped on the floor! Eee.... Of cos I never show any disgust or anger. I kept telling her to try again, using the "Mango" example. Finally this stubborn girl of mine decided to sit on potty. But could tell that she wasn't happy. Haha... I kept encouraging her. Finally she did it!!! I praised her! She stood up and looked @ her own poo. Haha... She became very happy! Haha... She told me "Baby 大便 in the potty."

After washed up, I asked her if she still want to do big business in potty. She said "Yes". Hopefully. Then she did it again! After lunch, she told me that she wanted to do big business. I asked her if she wanted to sit on potty. She said "Yes". & she did poo in the potty! Haha...

So happy that she is trained up now! ;)

Ok, now let's talk about my Darling Cayden.

Well, definitely getting more mischievous, talks more, runs faster. Still loves to laugh alot. Everyone sees him loves him to bits! Hee...

Bully me! Yes, bully his Mummy! He can recognise all except ME. Ask him where Daddy, 阿公, 阿姨, Aunty, 姐姐 etc. He will look @ the respective person. Only when ask him where is Mummy. He simply ignores this question! Argh!!!

During the period when Double Cs were sick & Dennis wasn't around, I asked my helper to sleep in my room while Cayenne and I sleep in Jann's room. From my helper, Cayden did wake up in midnight sometimes for milk, but very fast would go back to his dreamland after milk. BUT not when I take over! If happens that I feed him in the midnight, Cayden once finishes his milk, he will want to play with me, laughs or talks! I gotta to spend at least 1 hour or more to pat him. Till I got so angry that I simply "dump" him into his cot & let him talk! Sometimes Cayenne will wake up and quickly lie on my body, preventing me to carry Cayden of cos. Cayden sees this and starts to protest. I got no choice but to one hand pat Cayenne, the other hand pat Cayden in his cot. Then Cayden will be happy. Haha...

The other day I was chatting with my helper. My helper also told me she realised Cayden like to"bully" me. When I'm around, he tends to get naughty. If only my helper and him at home, my helper told me Cayden is such a Darling, so easy to handle. Haha...

Updates on Double Cs

Brought Double Cs back to hospital for review yesterday 30th September 2010, Thursday... I'm having phobia of going to hospital though merely 2 weeks, I really dread hearing the two words "Better admitted". SCARY...

Doctor checked on Cayenne and asked me how she was. I told Doctor the details & Doctor checked on Cayenne and said "GOOD". GOOD!!! Need not to be on nebulizer! Just on allergy/appetitizer medication. I was "huh". I thought Cayenne's appeitite has been very good since she is home, eats alot at home... Initially didn't want to give her the medication but think, better give one to two days for her to stablize more. ;p

As for Cayden, I was nervous. This son of mine seems to have problems with cough/phelgm... Doctor checked on him and declared... OFF NEBULIZER AS WELL!!! Hooray!!! I was really really happy!!!;) Felt 2 burdens off my shoulders!

Cayden still need medication to strengthen his lungs. It is okay! As long as he is off the nebulizer! He still needs to go back for review next week...

Double Cs' Updates

Hi all! Been a week plus since my last blog? Hee... Been busy & tired that I hardly go online lately. Even go online, I probably spend less than half an hour & "lazy" to blog. Hee...

Plus sometimes forget to take pictures of my Double Cs so not many recent photos of them.

Let's talk about my Darling Cayenne. She is getting naughtier & at certain times, kinda of difficult to control her. Just few weeks ago, she made me so angry that I think I have to do something about it. Of cos at her age, she didn't purposely anger me BUT STILL, I have to teach her the right stuff right?

Well, I do not know if my method is correct anot. I just did it anyway. I brought her to Jann's room and closed the door. She was crying very pitifully BUT I DID NOT CARE! *Hard hearted* ;p

Her Daddy got a shock that I simply "locked" his Darling in the room & wanted to rescue her. I stopped Dennis & told him "We have to teach this young lady some manners from now." After a minute or two, I opened the door & Cayenne was still crying but not as loud as earlier on. Probably tired. I went into the room & closed the door. I talked to this daughter of mine. I talked to her sternly & firmly about her behaviour. Asked her a few simple questions. I twisted around some questions such as "Do you want to be a good girl?" She nodded her head. I asked her again "Or do you want to be a naughty girl?" She shaked her head. I asked her "Are you sure you want to be a good girl?" She nodded again.

Then the following few days, she behaved. But of cos, children are children especially at their age. I do not think they can remember by heart. So, after few days, she gets naughty again! & I repeat by bringing her into Jann's room & the questions again. Did at least 2, 3 times.

Now Cayenne behaves much better, I wouldn't dare to say this method is very good but at least my Cayenne shows improvement in her behaviour. Sometimes if she gets into her naughty actions again, I just ask her "Do you want Mummy to put you in 阿姨's room?" She would immediately tells me "NO!"

As for her speech development, I think so far so good. She can speak in some short sentences & in mandarin as well. Dennis taught her once. He brought Cayenne downstairs to buy things & the auntie asked Cayenne in mandarin where her Mummy was. Dennis taught her to say "妈妈在家". When she came back home, she surprised us by saying it loud. Haha...

After which we taught her to say "爸爸在家,阿公在家,阿姨在家". So funny! ;p

Last Saturday, I had a lunch gathering with my usual gang. I was planning to go alone. I prepared Cayenne's lunch & also told her that Mummy was going to "work". She didn't take me seriously, was still sitting at Jann's lap. Jann was reading story books to her. I told Cayenne again that Mummy was going to "work", she simply looked at me blankly & back to listening to Jann's story telling. BUT once I carried my sling bag, she immediately cried and say "gai gai". Held onto my thighs & forbidded me to go out at all. She was crying so pitifully. Daddy told her that Daddy would bring her go out. She wanted to go BUT I must follow. I went to the kitchen, she followed me, still crying. So no choice, I sms-ed my friends that Mr Chua & Ms Chua would joined. Lucky they didn't mind. In fact, they were happy to have Cayenne around.

We are trying on and off to tell Cayenne that Mummy needs to go out. But Cayenne simply disallows me to do so. We will ask her "Where is Daddy going? Where is 阿公? Where is 阿姨?" She will tell us "WORK". We tell her "Mummy also go work." She will say "No, Mummy home."

*FAINTED!!!*

One incident - I carried Jann's bag and said "Mummy go work ok?" She said "No. 阿姨's bag."
I carried my small hand held bag and told her "Mummy goes 买菜?" She nodded her head!!! This means I can only go downstairs to do marketing?! Haha...

Cayenne loves to call herself "Baby", wants me to pat her to sleep like the way I carry Cayden! Tired man. She now wants to eat Cayden's porridge, steamed fruits. Haha... Which is good. ;)

Updates on my Darling Chubby Cayden now...

He ah... Also getting more and more naughty! If you snatch his toy or anything he is holding, he would protest! Make so much noise. Cayden loves to scream & talk loud. His voice is really very loud. Haha... Oh ya, his laughter also the same. If you hear him laugh, you will definitely laugh too. ;)

Cayden starts to crawl now... Quite fast in my view cos he just started. Hmm... Seems like nothing much on my Darling Cayden? ;p Haha...

Double Cs' Updates

Darling Cayenne has been speaking alot. And more sentences. ;) Meals still the same. BAD. But I do not care so much now. I realize I worry less, stress less, I'm happier, my Dear is happier, my Darlings are happier! So everyone is happy! Haha...

Darling Cayden is getting more active nowadays, yaks alot, wants to play more & start to get distracted when feeding time! A little action or noise, will get his attention for sure! So when meal times, can get very messy! Area around his mouth, sometimes cheeks or even eye brows area also got the cereal! Cos he is always moving around. At times, feel like putting something to stop his head movement! Haha...

Developments of my Double Cs

Darling Cayenne now stands @ ... ... 91cm & finally weighs 12kg!


Darling Cayden is 66cm tall & his weight is ... ... 8.5kg! He is only 6 months old! Haha...

For both my Cs, both progress @ different directions. One is vertically up, the other is horizontally across... Haha...

But doesn't matter. As long as they are healthy and happy! ;)

Updates on my Double Cs

Darling Cayenne is still clingy to me. I mentioned before that she would look for me while I was in the bathroom. Now still does. Whenever she comes looking for me, she will push open the bathroom sliding door. Makes me so "kan cheong" to quickly wear my clothes. ;p If I stop her from entering, she will cry & usually I'll let her in. Then she will obediently stand there waiting for me to get dressed. Of cos she will keep staring & pointing at my boobs. 女色狼 Haha...

If she didn't see me around, she will keep calling "Mummy", "Mummy". Just this Monday, I wanted to go to bathroom to brush teeth, the moment I open Jann's room door, she will quickly run towards me and hug my thighs.

Now seems like she is teething (hopefully the last), she gets super cranky & appetite still not as good as before. Sigh... & worst if she cries, she wants no one except me. I have to be within her sight.


Darling Cayden is still a chubby lovable baby. Haha... He "talks" more, likes to "kpo" his surrounding. He also loves to move his tongue alot, probably due to the teething. Loves to stare at people.

Now know how to "throw" temper if we put him on the bed or cot if he is awake. He loves being carried & see his surrounding...

Updates on both my Double Cs

Haven't been blogging on the developments on my Double Cs. Well, life is still the same. BORING. Haha...

Updates of my Double Cs :

Had decided to send Cayenne to CC. Been struggling to make a decision. Finally decided to though very much unwillingly to. But after taking care of her for coming 1 month, I fear I didn't do a job in teaching her at all. Most of the time, she is watching her favourite Barney DVDs. Though Barney DVDs quite educating, she learnt some words, actions, I still feel not as good as interacting with other kids of her age. If she got the chance to mingle around, I'm sure she will be more sociable & active! (Cayenne has been a very active girl anyway, probably by going to CC, will make her even more!)

Other than DVDs, playing "masak" and "catching" game with her are our daily routine. Does she learn from there? I do hope so. Everyday tries flashing cards to her, she will snatch from me.

As I've started to flash cards to Cayden 2 weeks ago, I thought it might jolly well be a good chance to let Cayenne learn as well. Thought she might interested. But who knows, she will take whatever flash cards I have on hand. This naughty girl. ;p

Today I teach her colours. Surprisingly, she can say out the words "red", "purple", "orange". She can say "Butterfly" and "Bananas" too BUT then you must listen very carefully with your ears open big. Haha...

As for Cayden, he has been a very good boy, I would say. Hope he can maintain this way or even better! And he is really growing fast and horizontally! Haha... His elephant thighs are showing! I never got the chance to see them in Cayenne! So now my wish came true! I always love chubby babies! I jokingly told Dennis that our son now is Cayden a.k.a. michelin! ;p

Oh, I almost forget to mention it is back! Cayenne's appetite is back!!! Am so happy that she can finish most of her meals now! Though the portion is not as much as last time, I'm already very happy and will definitely hope that she can eat more! ;)
