2nd day @ CC 06th October 09, Tuesday

Forced myself to wake up to send Cayenne to CC this morning. Been asking her if she wants to go to school. Cayenne will always nod her head. I wonder if she really understand what her Mummy is saying anot. On the way, I will tell her that we are on the way to school, have teachers and little friends around to play with her. Trying to instill positive thinking into her little brain.

Same as 1st day. Same kids crying, one snatch toys from another. Then the kid will cry. Just two days @ CC, to be actual, only 2 hours there these 2 days, what I seen and hear is crying, teachers using stern voices to discipline the kids. Seriously thinking, so much crying everyday from the same kids or some other kids, will it have negative impact on the crying kids themselves as well as on other kids? ... ... ...

After awhile, the kids were brought to outdoor walk again. But this time walked to void deck and guess what. Teacher Lay Hoon told the kids "Let's do running!" & she started to lead. Boy! The kids got so excited and kept running. Some will follow Teacher Lay Hoon to run in circle, some will side track! So scared that the kids might hurt themselves!

Initially Cayenne wanted me to carry. I encouraged her to come down to join in the run. She saw the kids running, so she got pretty excited as well. Ran here and there. I was worried she might fall down. There was 1 kid who fell down, I wanted to go and help him up but I heard Teacher Lay Hoon told the kid "It's alright." I dare not go and help in the end.

After that, went back to classroom, washed hands, drank water and lunch time again. Kids ate very messy, bits of rice dropped here and there. I simply couldn't stand it man! ;p Cayenne will pick up the rice she dropped on the table, chair and passed to me to throw away. Today she only ate half plate of lunch cos she saw other kids eating apples so she wanted apple. But she was still hungry. How did I know that she was still hungry? Well, after apple, she picked up the rices from the table and even on the floor to put inside her mouth! Lucky I was there, quickly stopped her! Asked her if she was still hungry, she nodded her head!

At that moment, I was thinking, if I wasn't around, probably Cayenne will be eating the dropped rice by other kids! Eee... How disgusting & unhygienic!

As usual, after lunch, one teacher will start bathing the kids one by one. One will prepare the mattresses and milk & the 3rd teacher will help to look around the kids. But as the class has the youngest kid who is only 18 months old & he cries alot, so the 3rd teacher has to carry him, entertain him with toys. So the tables, chairs & floor are not clean yet. The kids are running and playing. The thing I couldn't stand is after bathing, the kid will go and sit on the chair or touch the dirty table, even step on the floor where there are some food on it. Upon seeing it, I felt "headache". After bath, the kid should be clean and smell fragrant. But instead, they got abit dirty again. And seriously, I don't think the teachers will wash their hands/feet again.

I don't have good impression of CC now in terms of taking care of the kids. Arghh... So how? What should I do? Should I continue to send Cayenne to CC tomorrow? OR is it me who is too fussy over hygiene, cleanliness? If I continue to send Cayenne to CC, I should close one eye? Can I do it?

One more thing, there are a few kids who are having cough, flu. YET the parents still send them to CC. This morning I met the Malay Mummy again. She told me her girl got the flu over the weekend after 2 days @ CC.

I'm really having headache! Spoke to Dennis just now. I eventually broke down in front of Cayenne in the room. Feel tired, feel stressed, feel headache... Cayenne is such a good Darling. She was kinda of surprised to see me cry, came over to sayang me, sayang my face...

1st day @ CC 05th October 09, Monday

Woke up with a "heavy" heart. We woke up around 8plus. Of late, I woke up very late cos I cannot take it anymore every morning has to wake up 7plus (used to be) after doing midnight feeding for at least coming to 3 months. Shacked man. Cayenne's wake up time was 7plus but I "forced" her to sleep till 8plus, sometimes 9plus if I'm lucky. Hee...

Was thinking of NOT going to school since we were kinda of "late". I mean I haven't feed Cayenne breakfast (CC's breakfast time over by the time we reached there), haven't bath her (The teachers @ CC can bath her but hey, it was Cayenne's 1st day @ school, new environment, unfamiliar faces of teachers & little new friends, kinda of overwhelming for her (I think so) so surely I'm not going to let the teacher bath her) & I also haven't bath my Cayden yet.

BUT, was thinking "NO! I can't be like this! Trying to find excuses not to bring Cayenne to CC." I told myself that I had already promised Dennis & no matter how unwilling I was, I had to bring her to try out. If Cayenne doesn't like it or rather I or the school find Cayenne not suitable as in readiness, then will withdraw her from CC.

So quickly bathed Cayenne & myself, fed her milk, off we set off to CC! No choice had to leave Cayden ALONE with my helper as my Dad was going out. (He usually goes out on Monday) Worried BUT no choice.

The principal & teachers welcomed Cayenne with smiling and cheerful faces.

1st thing inside the toddlers class is must check temperature, hands & feet, fearing HFMD. Teacher Lay Hoon who is the most experienced teacher there, brought Cayenne to wash her hands. & I'm surprised Cayenne actually followed her.

After that, let Cayenne roamed around while I stayed @ one side to observe her or rather I have to be around within her sight so that she can see me if she remembers me! Haha... But I didn't do a good job I think. I was just beside her. ;p

It was kinda of noisy with at least 19 little students (including Cayenne) with 3 teachers. 1 or 2 were crying cos they wanted their Daddy & Mummy to be around. At the moment, I find it was quite a chaotic scene, with the kids crying, some were running within class, 1 teacher kinda of screaming @ the kids to ask them to behave, to sit down etc. If you ask me, I don't think I have a good starting impression at all.

Every morning they have at least 1 hour walk around the school compound! 1 hour! One Malay Mummy told me & she told me she was not going to join them (her girl also just joined the school, it was her 3rd day), very tiring. The Mummy told me no wonder the kids could sleep after that, cos very tiring walking. Imagine 1 hour! She told me the 1st day she joined her girl for the walk, after that, she felt so tired herself! Haha...

So it was time for the morning walk. WORSE! The kids simply too excited? Too engrossed in the playground? That some didn't want to follow the teachers. Some simply ran here and there. Really scary. I seriously wonder how the THREE teachers going to handle 19 toddlers! But somehow or rather, the teachers managed of cos with stern voice, shouting. At the moment, I really didn't want Cayenne to be in the CC.

Went back to class, the kids had lunch & fruit. Cayenne had her 1st lunch there. I let her feed herself. I was very happy that she can self feed. Quite well in fact! ;) I didn't really let her self feed at home as it will be messy. Somemore her appetite wasn't really as good as before. If I let her self feed at home, probably she will eat less than I feed her!

Felt very proud of my Cayenne, so one worry off from me on her meals. Initially I worry about her during meal times. Though the teachers say they will help to feed the kids who doesn't know how to feed themselves, I think they won't be THAT attentive to feed them the whole plate of meal. What I observe is true. Of cos in a positive way, they are trying to get the kids to learn feeding themselves.

After lunch, Cayenne had a piece of apple which she almost finished 3/4 by herself! ;) Then she put her plate on the basin. Good girl!

The teachers started to bath the kids one by one & prepare them for their afternoon naps. So I decided to bring Cayenne back home. Before heading home, I need to settle the school fees and talk to the principal. Principal Radiah is a nice Malay lady. I told her about my worry on the outdoor walk. She assured me that there will be new teachers coming over. Then they will split the class into 2, with 2 teachers handing 10 kids. Well, actually the teacher-to-children ratio is 1 : 8. Anyway, I definitely welcome more teachers around! Cos the kids can be quite handful to handle. Some can understand instructions, can understand what the teachers are saying but there are some who can't.

Oops, nearly forget to mention one thing! Cayenne can wear her own shoes! I'm very proud of her again! ;)
